Olive Telecom’s Olive Pad is India’s first Android based tablet which is loaded with some interesting features. With a full metallic body and clear 7 inch touchscreen, Olive Pad can easily fit inside a pocket.  They recently launched in India in October.  This is a product from Olive Telecom which has been in making mobile phones already and this is OlivePad seems to be our own Indian version or even better than that of the Apple iPad unlike the Accord Pad which as many claims is the Chinese counterpart.

Being seen as an answer to Apple’s iPad, Olive Pad does not match the latter visually, but it has some features which even an iPad does not have. It has 2 cameras; auto focus camera at the back and VGA camera in the front. Olive Pad VT100 runs on Google’s Android 2.1 but there can be an upgrade soon. Alongwith a 512MB internal memory, the tablet offers an SD card slot. With a 7″ TFT touchscreen offering a robust 480x 800 resolution, eye catching looks, GPS, dual camera, seamless internet browsing; Olive Pad is a chic tablet phone.  It weighs around 375 grams and comes with the dimensions of 110 x 179 x 11.5 mm.

The tablet, designed for multifunctional use, can be used as a notebook or as a Smartphone, which lets one to browse, download, upload, chat, access social networking sites, multimedia, instant messaging seamlessly, thanks to its Android Operating system and fast internet speed.  It can be your entertainment device as it gives you access to over 70,000 apps, all downloadable. For gaming freaks, the device comes loaded with a number of games.
