After the iPad there has been a recent rise and trend of various bigger names coming up with similar products and this time it is the Accord @Pad, which looks a lot similar to that of the Apple iPad but considerably much cheaper than the actual iPad and also this Accord @ Pad is available in India.  This is said to be a multipurpose tablet PC which has almost all the features and benefits to that of a iPad and more.

This Accord aPad is a mobile Internet device (MID) which helps you hooked to the wireless internet as well as entertain you with the loads of features it comes loaded with.  The version that is discussed here is the Accord @Pad P270 which can be used as a mini laptop minus the keyboard and stuff.

Price:

It is priced at around Rs. 10,000 for the Indian users (but seems to be a special offer from them, otherwise claimed to be priced at Rs. 17,000) and thus making it the cheapest of similar products available right now in the market.

Apart from coming packed with loads of apps, this Accord Pad comes with the option of adding 1000s of free apps to make it a great experience to own it. This is said to give a stiff competition to Apple iPad due to its price competitiveness as well as it is exclusively made in India.  But the product should be as good as iPad itself in order to gain the market in India which has a great scope for such products.  It is still in pre-launch or almost launch stage and hence we will need to wait for a few more weeks or months to get to know the full picture about this aPad and how good it is in terms of usability and functionality for us.
