Videocon DTH otherwise known as Videocon D2H has introduced satellite LCD TVs which can be used as the set top box as well to view the TV channels and programs from their Videocon DTH platform.  They have introduced a wide range of LCD and Satellite TVs with price range from Rs. 6990 to Rs. 29990 (price under exchange scheme though) and size range from 54 cm to 81 cm.  All these special Satellite LCD TVs come along with the Videocon D2H and can be used to view the channels without requiring additional STBs.

 

There are also special packages that you can get free if you buy these satellite LCD TVs along with the Videocon DTH.  There are currently around 244 channels and services that come along with the Videocon D2H service.

 

The features of these Videocon Satellite LCD TV and Satellite TVs are that they come with single remote control, as said above no additional set-top-box is required, comes with ant-glare technology, 12 PIP mosaic, they come with invisible speakers, and finally they are 44% more slimmer than the other regular LCD TV.

 

As said above, you will get the 12 months and 6 months diamond pack free along with the select models of Videocon satellite TV and also free gold pack for 5 months on select models.

 

Also there is Rs. 300 installation charges for the DTH Antenna and Satellite TV while it is Rs. 500 for the satellite LCD and DTH antenna.

 

These Videocon DTH satellite LCD and Satellite TV are the world’s first such product which receives the DTH service directly and thus making the Set top boxes a thing of the past.  I also guess this is going to be how the future of television, especially in India is going to be.
