This seems to have been designed in collaboration with Sankara Nehtralaya, the famous eye hospital in Chennai. It has been certified by Sankara Nethralaya as safe for the kids for long duration without any issues. It is said to have been designed for continuous power for at least 6 hours without the power on and hence an ideal partner for your kids during these exam time.

The light emanating from BPL StudyLite seems to be totally harmless without any ultraviolet or infrared radiation and the light seems to be without any flickering or radiation. Being coming out from the stable of BPL, the leading electronics manufacturer in India makes it extra special.
It can be used with the normal mains of 100 to 260 V AC current and 12 V DC. The charge for the first time is 2 hours and after that it can hold charge for up to 10 hours depending upon various factors. It comes with 2 NiMH batteries of 3.6 V and 1500 mAh. BPL StudyLite can be an ideal partner for your kids for study purposes if he/she studies in front of a regular study table, as it would be best suited only for the same, if he/she prefers to read at the couch or bed or elsewhere then this would just turn out to be an additional accessory in your house which is not used at all. Overall, this is a better choice to invest for your kid and good in terms of harmless to eyes and he/she can study even during power cuts which has become a trend these days especially in small towns or even bigger metros due to the power shortage which we have been facing of late.
