Aircel, the leading mobile operator in Chennai has introduced special rate cutter sort of option namely JLT or Just Like That.  With this option or service JLT, you can get special rates or additional service for a one time price of Rs. 3.  There are 3 services which you can avail using this Aircel JLT offer, namely SMS, calls and Pocket Internet.  This offer is valid only on Aircel prepaid mobile.

To avail this service you will need to send SMS on the following format given below to 56666.

You can enjoy free SMS, lowest call rates and free browsing during the time frame mentioned in this special Aircel offer which I am sharing for Chennai as it may vary between various circle that Aircel operates.

You can be able to send free 750 SMS for 2 days and these are local SMS.  And to avail this option you will need to send an SMS JLTSMS to 56666.  Your account will be debited Rs. 3 and you can enjoy free 750 SMSs for the good whole two days.

Similarly if you want to use rate cutter for local Aircel numbers, you will need to send an SMS JLTRC to 56666.  Thus you can enjoy a special call rate of 30 paise per minute for one whole day.  This offer is available only on calls made to local Aircel numbers.  As usual the charge for this service is Rs. 3.

And finally you can even utilize their special offer of JLT (Just Like That) for their internet, namely Pocket Internet.  With which you can enjoy free browsing for 6 hours and you will be charged with Rs. 3 as the JLT charges and you can browse any site without incurring any charges.  You will be charged only if you download anything other than browsing, like pictures, videos, animations, wallpapers, ring tones, etc.  You will need to send an SMS JLTPI to 56666 to subscribe to this special Pocket Internet service for 6 hours.  I tried this service personally myself and found that the browsing is really damn slow to use.  And without even downloading any wallpaper or anything, just for visiting Aircel Thrills they have charged me the download charge of Rs. 15 from my balance.  Hence I have decided to not use it until they improve their speed or improve such issues which is indeed a bad example of poor customer service.

Anyway you can try these services to check out how well they work for you.  Free SMS and low call rates are indeed a boon for many who would only use free SMS for certain days rather than throughout the month.  And the free minutes on Aircel to Aircel is beneficial who are still in pay per minute call rather than pay per second.
